The Trevi Fountain or Fontana di Trevi is known the world over as the fountain where Anita Ekberg cooled off in Fellini's La Dolce Vita. Nowadays though, anybody caught emulating such an act is likely to be arrested! oh how times have changed... in any case it isn't advisable as the water comes from an underground stream as old as ancient rome and is absolutely freezing. Instead why not satisfy yourself by lobbing a coin into the water and making a wish... if you dont then legend has it that you will never return to Rome...
